Week of February 3-7

I hope you are all as excited as I am to get back to school! Snow days are great, but I sure missed you and teaching!

Kindergarten & First Grade
This week are focusing on using technology when listening, speaking, and presenting.  While listening to a great poem called "Draw a Rhyme" you will use the Educreations App to draw a monster, write a sentence (or a few,) and record a message or description about your creation.

Third Grade
In Science you are learning about space and the stars. This week we will watch a few short video segments about constellations and then you will use Microsoft Paint to create your own constellation.  You will learn how to save your picture in a new format so that you can insert it into a Word document.  Next week you will write a story about how your constellation came to be.

In addition, here are some great links toa games about the space and theconstellations!
 Kids Astronomy.com Game                                    Solar Trictionary!
                                                Astronomy for Kids
Write Your Own Adventure in Space!                                 Juno Quest~ Mission to Jupiter

Super Cool Space Tools                          Funbrain Constellation Game

Fourth & Fifth Grade
The snow "week" has put us a bit behind schedule! I am hoping most of you are finished your "50 Years Ago" Presentations, but will give you about 15 minutes at the start of class to put any finishing bells and whistles on your presentations.  We will spend this week and next watching each other's great final products.
