Using Microsoft Paint

Mr. Potato Head-
Students can use a variety of digital tools (e.g., word processors, drawing tools, simulations, presentation software,graphical organizers) to learn, create, and convey original ideas or illustrate concepts.

Microsoft Paint is a great tool that can be used to draw pictures or make diagrams that will enhance any presentation. Here's a fun way to learn how:   Mr. Potato Head video tutorial

1. Move your mouse over the Mr. Potato Head outline.
2. Right mouse click, move your mouse down to "copy image,"and click on it.
3. Open Paint
4. Click "Paste" in the top left corner.

In the Pumpkin Patch-

Copy and paste this picture of a pumpkin into Paint.  Design and illustrate a fall scene or event that includes the pumpkin.  Be creative and imaginative! Write a sentence telling about your picture, and SAVE it on your folder in the network (LUNCH NUMBER (H:) drive). See Ms. Bell to print!

Autumn Alliteration

  1. Click on  the link Autumn Alliteration to down load the WORD document from Google Drive. Save the document in your folder on the network (LUNCH NUMBER (H:) drive).
  2. Once you have created your alliterations, choose you favorite to illustrate in Microsoft Paint or Tux Paint.
  3. Save your illustration in your folder on the network (again.) (LUNCH NUMBER (H:) drive).
  4. Take a screen shot (Ctrl + PrtSc) of your picture, paste it into a WORD document, and type your sentence.
  5. Have a friend proofread you sentence. Then SAVE this WORD document in your folder on the network (LUNCH NUMBER (H:) drive).

See Ms. Bell for directions and a key.  If you need direction using Microsoft Paint to create your bioglyph, click this link...Bioglyph   The directions for understanding the glyph are at the beginning.  To skip to specifically using Paint, move the time to about 3 minutes. Once everyone finishes, we will interview each other and try and match each person with the correct bioglyph.

We are going to use Educreations to draw a picture and record a sentence about it.
