Help Heal Haiti
The kids and I always joke about putting up a quote wall in our classroom.  Along side, " Friends, please don't make me ask you again," they suggested we write one of my personal favorites, "If only every person committed one random act of kindness a day, the world would be such a better place." This year the third graders have decided to help make a difference in other people's lives. The project,  called Help Haiti Heal, is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people in Haiti.  In April, a group of Joyner teachers and parents will be traveling to Haiti to support this mission. The project kicked off yesterday, and we can all help by donating items to be used in hygiene and school kits.  The fifth graders have been asked to donate washcloths and soap.  If you are able to help out, please sent in washcloths and soap with the students.  These will be used to make hygeniene kits that will be delivered to children in Haiti.
