Sensational Second Graders
Using Microsoft Paint...Mr. Potato Head

We are going to be using a great program in the next few weeks called Microsoft Paint.  To help you learn how, here is a fun activity to make your new year begin with a giggle!

First we are going to look at few pictures of Mr. Potato Head.

Now it is time to use Microsoft "Paint" to make your own Mr. or Mrs. Potato Head! A copy of the potato shape is saved for you in the Second Grade Folder on the Shared Drive.  Here is how to get to it...

1. Click on "My Computer"                                                 4. Click on Technology Folder  
                                                                     5. Click on 2nd Grade Folder                               

                                                                                           

2. Click on Shared Drive                                                     6. Click on "Mr. Potato Head" document.

     
                       7. Move your mouse into the center of the                                       potato.  
     
                      
3. Click on the Group Folder                                     8. RIGHT mouse click and then click EDIT, COPY       
                                                                                 9. Wait for directions from Ms. Bell.  She will help you                                                                                    paste the potato into "Paint"
                
  Thrilling Third Graders
My friend OH HENRY wrote you a letter.  It is saved in the Share (S:) drive for you.  Log onto the computer, go to the 3rd grade folder on the Share drive, and then click on the "Oh Henry letter."  Finally, save this WORD document under your lunch number so you can edit it.  Follow the directions to correctly edit this document.  The names of 12 candy bars are hidden in the text...Can you find them all?
