Grade 5~ Economics
The fifth graders are learning about economics in social studies. In technology class students will play Money Metropolis, a great game that teaches the basics and reinforces the concepts of economy. Here is the premise of the game: Students choose a goal and begin saving for it. They have to make money, so they get jobs and begin saving. You can deliver newspapers, mow lawns, bag groceries, or do other odd jobs to earn money. There are some great decisions students are forced to make along the way while playing this game. The motto of the game is' "Saving For a Goal Is a World of Fun!" and I agree!
