We had a visitor from the Botanical Gardens in Chapel Hill in class today, and it was awesome!  After learning about producers, consumers, and decomposers, the kids were able to dissect owl pellets to see the food chain in action.  They identified bones and had a great time learning about ecosystems and the herbivores, omnivores, and carnivores found in this area.
