This Week:
Figuratively speaking, our week is off and running!  After reviewing, writing, and finding examples of similes and metaphors in Peak, we are learning about other kinds of figurative language.  The students' pencils smiled and twirled with glee as they wrote examples of personification.  Tomorrow, they will begin an I AM poem linked to our Peak learning contract. Students will use metaphor and other forms of figurative language to write from another perspective.  In science, we are finishing our topographic maps, complete with contour intervals and a key.  A final assessment of our landforms unit will be given on Friday.  In math, we are reviewing the order of opeations before heading back into the land of long division.  By the end of the week, the students will be able to divide with both whole numbers and decimals.
