Sentences are stupendous!(Exclamatory)... Please ask one of Ms. Bell's fantastic fifth graders to tell you the different kinds of sentences. (Imperative)... Can you guess what we are learning about in Language Arts? (Interrogative)...After going over the project directions and rubric, the students are ready to begin working on their 4 Kinds of Sentences Poster Projects.  This week, we are working on using great vocabulary and varying the kinds of sentences used to make our writing more interesting to read.  In addition, we are still climbing Mt. Everest with Peak and using nonfiction text features to better understand informational text. Hands on Landforms Project rubrics were handed out today. After choosing land and water forms to model, the students are making blue prints.  We will make our clay on Friday, and use it next week to create our models.

Homework:  10/4/11L.A: 1. Vocabulary quiz & contract due tomorrow
        2.  Write one of each kind of sentence. (million dollar please :)
              Label each sentence (declarative, interrogative, imperative, or exclamatory)

Math: A Bit of Algebra (in math composition book)
